Happy New Year from Sonet Digital
Firstly, as the title suggests, we are wishing our clients, colleagues and friends a happy and prosperous new year. We hope your holidays were filled with relaxation, laughter and a little fun too.
New tech for a new year
2015 was a year of growth for us in many ways, including increasing our Internet marketing services, moving towards and developing on more robust content management systems (CMS) that facilitates search engine and social marketing integration much better, and with amazing results. Most of our builds will now be moving towards this new approach which, as aforementioned, is not only marketing friendly but also seriously scalable.
Let’s see those wish lists
The holiday period generally allows us to get our thinking caps on, allowing for new ideas to start flowing. It is also a good time to start planning new Internet marketing campaigns, website build upgrades and bolstering your current campaigns to take advantage of new keywords, geographic locations, and utilising new technologies that can provide further exposure to your brand.
Trends for 2016
It remains that search engine optimisation (SEO) and Pay Per Click marketing (PPC) are the two most powerful digital marketing tools at your disposal. However, it is extremely important that your campaigns keep mobile in mind – In 2015 Google reported that mobile took over desktop search in 10 countries including the USA and Japan. In 2016 it will go further and the figures will rise!
Keeping this in mind for your website and marketing campaigns will help – we often have to remind our clients that few prospective customers carry around a laptop (in their pocket) but almost all of them will carry a smartphone. Being optimised for this technology is now key and important to the livelihood of your business.
Other areas to (still) keep in mind are (and which we will expand upon in future blogs):
- Video ads
- Content marketing
- Social media advertising
- App optimisation
If you are thinking about any of the above and need help and advice then feel free to get in touch and find out how we can help you set up your online marketing goals for 2016.
